Applications for the 2026 Exchange are now open. The 2026 Chaperone Tina Williams will be working with the 2026 Student Ambassadors soon to prepare for the 2026 trip to Japan.

The 2025 Student Ambassadors are working with the 2025 Chaperone Hailey Stuvland to learn about Japanese culture and language as they prepare for the trip to Japan in July. Read more about being a student ambassador and apply here.

The Pendleton Cultural Foundation is a non-profit organization that carries out the Sister City cultural exchange between the City of Pendleton and the City of Minamisoma, Japan.  We coordinate an annual exchange of culture between Minamisoma and Pendleton area students. The exchange impacts the individual students chosen for the exchange and people in both communities who meet the students out in the community or who become involved in the exchange as host families or day hosts.
