Applications for the 2026 Exchange are closed. The 2026 Chaperone Tina Williams will be working with the 2026 Student Ambassadors soon to prepare for the 2026 trip to Japan.

The 2025 Student Ambassadors and Chaperone Hailey Stuvland had an amazing trip to Japan in July, and were hosts to the Minamisoma students in August. Read more about this years exchange here.

The Pendleton Cultural Foundation is a non-profit organization that carries out the Sister City cultural exchange between the City of Pendleton and the City of Minamisoma, Japan.  We coordinate an annual exchange of culture between Minamisoma and Pendleton area students. The exchange impacts the individual students chosen for the exchange and people in both communities who meet the students out in the community or who become involved in the exchange as host families or day hosts.
