The 2026 Chaperone Tina Williams is working with the 2026 Student Ambassadors to prepare for the 2026 trip to Japan. They are fundraising for the exchange program and learning Japanese language and culture as they prepare for their visit in July.

The 2025 Student Ambassadors and Chaperone Hailey Stuvland had an amazing trip to Japan in July, and were hosts to the Minamisoma students in August. Read more about this years exchange here.

The Pendleton Cultural Foundation is a non-profit organization that carries out the Sister City cultural exchange between the City of Pendleton and the City of Minamisoma, Japan.  We coordinate an annual exchange of culture between Minamisoma and Pendleton area students. The exchange impacts the individual students chosen for the exchange and people in both communities who meet the students or become more involved as host families or day hosts.
